I learned of you Division from a former neighbor of mine, T/5 Alex Drozda. He spoke highly of the Division. After reading about what you went through, I know why. I am into WWII reenacting now. You guys are truely the Greatest Generation. Thanks

Another 95th Vet leaves us. Berlen was in the 320th Combat Engineers and was awarded the Bronze Star when he used a bee hive charge to blow a German "fort" that had the unit pinned down. While running back to his position from setting the charge, an artillery or mortar round impacted near him tossing him in the air and wounding him severly and ending the war for him. That is how he received the Purple Heart mentioned.
Tomorrow he will be laid to rest. Below is his obituary.
He will be missed.
