He served with the 95th Infantry Division, 379th Infantry Regiment from 1944 until deactivation in 1945. He received 3 bronze stars and the purple heart while in action with the 95th. If anyone remembers PFC Harold E. Burke from Pikeville, KY drop me a line. He was my uncle and died in 1998 from a heart attack. He is buried in Somerset, KY at the Veteran's Cemetary. |

| Byron G. Dennison | Signed on: Sun 09 Dec 2007 23:33:01 EST My uncle Harold V. Dennison served with the 95th. He was always a hero to me and was the reason I served in the army 1968-70. The information I have is that he earned a battlefield commision of 2nd Lt.. He also earned the middle eastern campaign medal with 3 bronze stars. He was listed to have been a regimental combat scout with the 95th. I would like any other information anyone has on my uncle. Thanks to all that served!!! Byron Dennison |
