| Charles Vanderpool | Signed on: Mon 02 Jun 2008 19:16:58 EDT My mother never mentioned anything about her other son Emil Piazza who she had when she was 18yrs old. My mother had me when the was 44yrs old in 1941, two days before Pearl Harbor. I have a picture taken with my half-brother Emil holding me before going off the war. I just recently received information about him thanks to divine intervention and the internet. He held off an attack from Fort Plappeville Nov 20th and received the silver star. He was killed in action Nov. 29, 1944 with the 378th. I don't know what company, but I would like to receive information about him from anyone who knew him. I am 66 years old and have just received this information and have heard from Emil's wife's children from her second marriage. |
| John G. Little, Jr. | Signed on: Fri 30 May 2008 17:35:05 EDT The officers of our association are doing a great job in keeping it going. The Spring 2008 Journal is great even though not in color as in the past. We have to reduce our costs as not many of us now. I plan to attend the reunion in Toledo if all goes well. I will be 84 June 10. Last year in Oklahoma there was 3 of us from 547th AAA Bn. My son and daughter and some of their families were there for the first time. I hope they will continue as I do not like to travel alone. |
