My dad was, George M. Oostdyk. He was from Chicago, Il area.He was wounded at the Battle of the Bulge. He was discharged in May, 1945 from Mayo Hospital in Galesburg, IL. His Division has a commendation from Patton, I dont know dad's unit, but it mentions attached units,
607 Tank destroyer / 778 Tank battalion and 547 AAA AA Battalion. His records were lost in the fire. ANY suggestions as to how/where else to try to locate info?? Thanks for any suggestions. Would love to find someONE who knew my great DAD!

My uncle, Waverly S. Green was with the 378 Co. B. He recently passed away. Before his death he sent me a memoir about The Attack on Merton, France. I assume this was part of the assault on Metz. Can anyone locate Merton, France for me? It may be south of Metz. Thank you.
