Just wanted to remember my Dad, Joseph Franklin Decker, who served with the 95th Div. throughout WW II. He was a battalion commander in European Theater. Retired as Colonel (O-6) in 1963 and returned home to Selma, AL. He earned a Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart in the campaigns in France and Germany. Dad died in 1983. He's still a hero to all of us, as are all the men of the 95th Victory.
Admin's Comment: I was a Lt in 2d Bn 377th when your Dad had the 1st Bn from the Calif
Desert to Camp Shelby. I was in his command post, Nov or Dec '44, when a German Tiger tank was just down the street.
Warm regards ,
